Each year we acknowledge the top Sales Associates for 2012 at each of our stores during the Annual Sales Recognition Banquet. Today we want to introduce you to Lee Hintze, the top Sales Associate at our Minnetonka Kia store.
Morrie’s Minnetonka Kia wants to recognize Lee Hintze as Sales Person of the Year for 2012. Although he is among twelve Sales Consultants within our growing dealership, this is not his first time with the honor.
“This is the third time Lee has been nominated as Sales Person of the Year out of his five years at Morrie’s,” said Travis Peterlin, general manager. “His ability to listen and relate to our customers and introduce them to the right vehicle makes him truly stand out as one of the most knowledgeable and skilled members on our team.”
Lee says he enjoys coming to work because of the people he works with on a daily basis.
“I think we have a great crew. We all pull together as a team.”
Lee’s favorite part about being a Sales Associate at Morrie’s is that fact that he gets to meet new customers and help them to select the vehicle that best fits their needs. “It’s the best feeling seeing someone drive off in their new car happy that their car buying experience was so easy,” said Lee.
But Mr. Hintze isn’t just all work and no play. During his time off he enjoys fishing for Northern and Crappie both on the ice and by boat. Lee also likes to travel to new places when he can find time outside of his busy schedule. Some of his favorite places include California Canada and the Boundary Waters, where he has found some of his favorite fishing spots. “Mexico is nice too” says Lee, as he looks outside at the snow covering the ground.
Most of all, Lee enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, Coltin, 3, and Landon, 18 months. He has two sons and twin daughters (pictured below). His brother, Fred, is also part of the Morrie’s family, and works down the street at Morrie’s Minnetonka Ford.
Lee enjoys selling Kia vehicles so much that he owns one himself. He currently drives a 2011 Kia Optima EX with a premium package, all decked out with leather interior and a sunroof. His favorite features are the heated seats in the winter and cooled seats in the summer. “It’s a definite improvement over my base manual 2002 Chevy Cavalier,” Lee recalls. “The air bags deployed and when I removed them, there was a hole left in my steering wheel, which was great for holding CD’s.”
Lee Hintze was formally recognized for his accomplishment as Kia’s Sales Associate of the Year for 2012 at our annual Recognition Banquet where he received a plaque from Morrie Wagener himself. We are excited for what 2013 will bring and look forward to honoring more of our employees on their extraordinary accomplishments next January.
