Morrie’s Chippewa Mazda sponsors WI area fundraiser

Morrie's Chippewa Mazda Fundraiser

Have you ever gotten a bowl out of the cupboard, set it on the counter and wondered what you should fill it with? Maybe cereal, soup, or a delicious salad? For many folks locally and across our great country, it is a reality that they don’t have the option to fill that bowl with anything. Feed my People Food Bank has been servicing Central Wisconsin communities since 1982. They provide assistance to Hunger-Relief Programs, Weekend Kids’ Meals Programs, and Senior Hunger Programs.

Staff members from Morrie’s CV Mazda had the opportunity to attend the Empty Bowls fundraiser March 6, 2014 at the Florian Gardens in Eau Claire, WI.

Empty Bowls is Feed My People’s premier fundraising event. It is a benefit meal of soup, specialty breads and desserts with the unique twist of being able to take home an “empty bowl” as a reminder of all the empty bowls in our community. The bowls are hand crafted by area students and professional potters.  The money raised is used by Feed My People to end hunger and food insecurity in west central Wisconsin.

Morrie’s CV Mazda is a regular supporter of Feed My People, donating a car for their live auction each August. Community members gather to support this charity by bidding on live auction items. We were proud to be a sponsor of this important community event and look forward to our continued partnership with the Feed My People organization.
