I am not an expert. I am however, a car guy. I've worked for Morrie's since 2002, and am responsible for our websites, photo studios, and doing what I can to make sure we stay true to the Morrie's brand. My passion for speed started at a young age - when going faster meant finding a bigger hill or pedaling harder - sometimes both. These days going faster is a lot less work, but I haven't lost the urge. I currently drive a 2012 Mazda3 5 door 2.5L 6sp, and am in the process of restoring a 1972 Triumph GT6. Mark on Google+

July always tends to be a big turnout at Cars & Coffee, and this year was no different. We hit maximum capacity of about 1,000 cars, and had thousands of spectators enjoying the beautiful weather. Check out the photo gallery below, and for more information on the event check out the MN Cars & Coffee website at mncandc.com.

We had a fantastic turnout for C&C this past Saturday. The weather couldn’t have been any better, and despite the holiday weekend, we had a ton of cool cars. This month was also the first month we started giving out ice water in addition to the coffee, and everyone that came by the Morrie’s booth got a free LED keychain. Check out the photos below for a sample of what was on display, and join us next month for another great show. More information here: http://www.mncandc.com
Nissan isn’t sure where or when their new electric Leaf Nismo RC will be racing, but we’ve got some very cool video to share.
It’s got a full carbon-fibre monocoque chassis and body panels – measuring a foot lower, 20mm longer, 170mm wider, and 40% lighter than the street car. The Nismo racer also features custom suspension and a fully driver-adjustable rear wing. The drivetrain is almost entirely the same as the street going Leaf - including the 80kw electric motor and 24kWh (that’s kilo-Watt-hour) lithium-ion battery pack. The only major difference is that the electric motor was moved to the middle of the car, and now powers the rear wheels instead of the front. More >
The Winding Road has added two new Saab road tests to their online magazine – and they’re both worth a read. First up is the Saab 9-4X Aero, pictured here. There is the inevitable who\what is Saab storyline in both reviews, but once you get past that and on to the cars, they’re both quite good. More >
Engadget got the chance to sit down with Ford President and CEO Alan Mulally for an in-depth conversation about a range of topics from their new Focus Electric to the integration of cell phones and electronic devices into cars.

I ran across this on a really spammy site, so I pulled the photos out and re-worked them to post here.
If anyone knows the source of these images, please let me know – I’d love to give credit where it’s due, and if these are any indication there are probably more cool pictures out there to be seen.
Update: I’ve found the source: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24796741@N05/sets/72157604247242338/ (lots more pictures there) More >
A couple of weeks ago we hosted an event at our Cadillac Saab store, called Hoops for Wishes with Trent Tucker, in partnership with the Make a Wish Foundation. This event was to raise money to go toward helping the Make a Wish Foundation of Minnesota to grant the wish of 10-year-old named Jose. Jose is an active boy from Farmington, Minn., who has not let sarcoma slow him down. He loves playing video games, basketball and shopping at Target.
When Jose started thinking about what he would wish for, he pictured somewhere warm, somewhere he could swim and somewhere with a lot of activities. It seemed a Caribbean cruise was just the right fit.
And today I’m happy to share that we helped the Make a Wish Foundation of Minnesota reach their goals, and soon Jose and his family will be sailing the high seas! More >

This will primarily be screened during Twins games on FSN North, and features our Buy Happy bonus: Nationwide Powertrain Warranty. Check out the video after the break and let us know what you think? I’m pleased to announce that an event I’ve been involved with since it’s inception is now being sponsored by Morrie’s Automotive Group. I originally got involved with Cars and Coffee back in 2008 when I was working at our Maserati \ Bentley store. Back in April of 2008 – we had 30 cars. By August we had close to 300 and had to move the event. More >
