Fall Color Tour
The best part of fall is the beautiful colors as the leaves change. Our favorite way to see these changes is by going for a cruise in a convertible. Get one last rental in before the end of the MHCC season and go for a drive through Minnesota. Check out the DNR’s fall color finder to discover the best time and place to view gorgeous fall foliage!
If you need a route to take your freshly rented MHCC convertible, check out this list of roads that are “pure bliss in the fall” or these so called “rainbow routes“. Although it’s still early in the season for southern Minnesota, the northern parts of the state are nearly at 100% color change! Get out and see the best fall has to offer, and don’t forget the pumpkin spice!
With father’s day just around the corner, it’s time to celebrate dad. If you’re struggling to come up with some gift ideas this year, we can help. We’ve scoured the internet and come up with a list of great gifts that dear ‘ol dad will appreciate, even if he’s notoriously hard to shop for. And remember, if all else fails I’m sure pops would love to spend some quality time with you!
For the father who has everything: Bacon Me Crazy
Bacon Me Crazy is a gift bag of delicious, bacon-y treats such as bacon chocolate, bacon mayonnaise, bacon kettle corn, and garlic-cured bacon strips. If you want to get him the gift that keeps on giving, they have a monthly subscription service as well!
For the father that likes to get outside: the Pathfinder Cooler
Maybe dear old dad likes to go fishing or camping or tailgating. Maybe he just wants something that looks cool while keeping his favorite drinks even cooler. Well here you go.
For the father that likes to travel: Bicycle Inner Tube Toiletry Bag
What better way to keep dad’s personal effects organized on trips than with a waterproof inner tube toiletry bag? Made in the US with recycled inner tubes, this toiletry bag is tough and looks cool, just like dad!
For the father that likes to cook: PancakeBot Pancake Printer
Not only can you make your dad breakfast on Father’s Day, but now you can make him pancakes that look like that rad ’67 Mustang he had back when he was younger, had a full head of hair, and didn’t need a safe, practical boring car to take you to soccer practice in.
For the fitness nut father: Fitbit Blaze Smartwatch
Fitbit has been making some of the best fitness tracker bands and dongles for years, and now they’ve got the Blaze smartwatch that can track dad’s favorite routes for cycling or running, track his heart rate, and even provide training and coaching, all while looking sharp enough to wear every day.
This is the perfect gift for a car-loving dad who loves to read to his kids at night. These two books chronicle legendary race cars and their drivers with kid-friendly pictures and language that’ll make it fun and interesting for dad and child alike!
For the father who guilt-trips you about how you behaved as a child: The Apology Checklist Card
Not everyone was a perfect little angel growing up, and for some of us, dad never lets us forget that. If you’ve always wanted to apologize to dad for how you behaved growing up but never knew the right way to say it, this might be the perfect card to get him this year.
We wanted to compile our favorite summer road trip vehicles with a list of reasons why we think they are so great. With the Memorial Day weekend rapidly approaching we want to first ask what happened to May and secondly, where are you heading with the other approximately 38 million people on the road this weekend? May seemed to have disappeared right before our eyes, but hopefully you’re heading somewhere fun and we want to give you a list of our Top 5 vehicles to take on a road trip. Whether it’s the entire family or just you hitting the slightly traffic congested roads alone, we think we have the right picks for you. Also check out our pre-made Morrie’s Summer Playlist for all the Spotify users out there, it’s the music you’re going to need on your next Summer Road Trip!
Top of the morning to you! Grab yourself a green beverage and saddle up to see what our St. Patrick’s Day Top 5 favorite cars will be. Let’s not waste any time getting to the list so here they are.
#1 Aston Martin Rapide S
Pentland Green has never looked so good on anything. This 2015 Aston features an Eifel Green Leather interior that is unmistakable for anything but green. When you catch that pot o’ gold make sure to swing through Morrie’s Luxury Auto to pick up this beautiful Aston Martin Rapide S. Imagine all this green luxury and a 552hp V12… you know it’s good.
#2 Steve McQueen’s “Bullitt” Mustang
One of the best car chase scenes in movie history may still be from, “Bullitt” a 1968 classic featuring Lightning Steve McQueen behind the wheel of a 1968 Ford Mustang 390 GT Fastback. A classic American styled vehicle with a green paint job that makes this a solid choice for enjoying the lovely weather we hope to have this year. Check out the chase scene from “Bullitt” on YouTube here
#3 Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept
This is one we hope to see in more of a production model soon enough, but as of now you can’t argue with just how good this Bentley looks. This color might be perfectly suited to the concept, but I also wouldn’t mind seeing this on the new Bentayga SUV from Bentley. Since Green can look good on any classic British sports car, and it’s fitting since the UK is much closer to Ireland than we are across the pond, they should get the nod on this one.
#4 Ford Focus SVT RS1 / 2013 SEMA Focus ST
Another overseas release that wasn’t sent to the states (Until the Focus RS for 2016) doesn’t make this vehicle avoidable from our list. Maybe even import one of these to Dublin and go in search of the leprechaun holding all that gold to buy up the Aston Martin Rapide S we mentioned earlier. If the new body style of the Focus is more your style then you need to check out the Green Filter rendering of the Focus ST. It was built and brought out to SEMA in 2013. The classic racing livery it features is a sure fire way to have a bit of fun and look good during St. Patty’s Day.
#5 Nissan Leaf
100% electric and 100% amazing fuel economy, there isn’t anything more green than an actual green car. The Nissan Leaf would be the perfect car to cruise around the city to pick up a brisket to make with a bit of cabbage on the side.
Thanks for checking out the list and make sure to let us know what else you think we should add. Have a safe and happy St. Patrick’s Day!

For the ladies in your life, we recommend Stitch Fix - clothing and accessories selected by a personal stylist and hand-delivered to her door.
Why water down your whiskey with ice? These stainless steel cubes (or balls, take your pick) will actually keep your drink colder than ice, for longer than ice – and they won’t dilute that heavenly flavor. If that’s not enough to sway you, they’re also completely non-porous, ensuring you’ll be able to use them over and over with no risk of cross-contamination.

Morrie’s Teen Driving School
This comprehensive course gives young drivers the hands-on experience they need to avoid accidents. Through a combination of classroom activities and engaging, hands-on exercises, this program teaches young drivers skills they simply cannot obtain in traditional driver’s ed programs. Each student is paired with a dedicated instructor who coaches them in his or her own car throughout the entire day. At the end of the program each student will have a vastly improved grasp of their car, vehicle dynamics, car control and lifesaving, proactive driving techniques.
Lego Creator Car Kits
The Great Sleeping Bear
Who among us hasn’t wished we could hibernate through the winter winter months, waking up as the last of the salt is cleared off the roads? With this hand-made bear sleeping bag by Dutch Artist Eiko Ishizawa, the idea seems a little less far-fetched! These individually numbered sleeping bags cost a mere $2,350 – a small price to pay for supreme comfort when the weather gets to be simply unBEARable (Yes, that pun happened. We regret nothing).
Happy Holidays, everyone!
1. DeLorean “Back to the Future” Car – Back to the Future is in full swing this year with an almost perfectly timed Halloween costume idea. In the movies when Marty McFly travels to the “future” the time travel clock in the DeLorean shows Oct. 21st 2015 at 4:30 pm. This makes for a classic costume idea, not to mention showing your Back to the Future knowledge.
2. Bumper Cars – How much fun does it look like these two skiers are having dressed up as bumper cars? We might not have the snow for all of this nonsense this year but it would still be a blast to buddy up with your bestie for a bumper car costume pairing.
3. Road Cone – What we be better than going out to a costume party and clogging up an entire sidewalk while you and five of your closest friends are all road cones. You’re nice and safe if you happen to be in a populated area because of the neon orange, and also you can dress warm which is always great for Halloween.
4. Stoplight – Maybe you’re not the creative type? Maybe you got invited to a party last minute? Well the stoplight is a easy to make and quick solution to all of your problems. Stop by a fabric store and throw on a black sweatshirt with a couple of circle patches and you’re good to go. You can even do what this guy did and combine the road cone costume for bonus points.
5. Car Costumes – So maybe you want to arrive in style to that party you are heading to? Well if you have a Miata or basically any car with a grille, you can add some teeth. Also for major bonus points, turn your car into a pumpkin and be the hit of the party.
If you have other ideas, makes sure to let us know!
