If you haven’t already heard the news, our Twin Cities Luxury Auto store has changed their name to Morrie’s Luxury Auto. Rest assured, we’re still the same place with the same great cars and people you’ve come to know and trust. We saw an opportunity to better align Twin Cities Luxury Auto with the Morrie’s name and our brand history, so we made the switch.
Effective immediately you will see the new name and logo changes reflected across the Internet and all of our marketing channels. It’s not a revolutionary change but it is something that we are quite excited about.
Besides the rebrand there are a number of exciting changes coming our way this summer including a new facility that will offer more space and a better showcasing of our Bentley, Maserati and pre-owned models. We also look forward to the arrival of three new exciting vehicles. The 2014 Maserati Quattroporte, the Bentley Flying Spur and the Maserati Ghibli (pictured below).
For up to date news and development information make sure to check back to our blog often as well as the Morrie’s Luxury Auto Blog. We look forward to our continued growth as a company and the ability to enhance the customer service experience that we offer.
We were given a wonderful opportunity to team up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota this past January when we heard about Matthew’s wish to have his 1968 Dodge Charger restored. And after over 5 months of hard work, Matthew’s Charger is finally complete. We felt this partnership was a great fit and couldn’t wait to help out, so on January 12th, we set off for Northern Minnesota to pick up the car and see what kind of shape it was in.
You can imagine Matthew’s excitement when he found out we were there to grant the wish that he had patiently been waiting over a year for. We trailered the Charger back to our Minnetonka Ford store where we immediately began with a mechanical evaluation. We made sure to document the process of the restoration through a series of blog posts with videos and photos. You can check it out here. The story created a lot of buzz throughout the community and we were excited to be able to share it with everyone. We soon realized the amount of dedication and compassion that is present within the Morrie’s community amongst employees when they began volunteering their time and energy to help with the restoration.
It has been a long and rewarding process to help make Matthew’s wish come true and we were so thrilled to be able to finally surprise him this past weekend when he was least expecting it. We planned to have Matthew and his family visit for the weekend to tour a few of Morrie’s vehicles. He had no idea that towards the end of his tour, he would find his 1968 Dodge Charger, fully restored and finally complete. We held a small event with members of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Morrie’s employees and vendors that worked on the restoration, and Matthew’s family.
The following morning, Matthew got to show his new Charger off at MN C&C , a car event that Morrie’s sponsors the first Saturday of each month throughout the summer. Matthew’s Charger looked great amongst all the other classic and exotic vehicles at the event and sure got a lot of attention. Stay tuned for a separate blog post highlighting the June C&C event and a special segment featuring Matthew’s appearance.
With over 600 hours of work, more than 40 employees, and a dozen different vendors, Matthew’s wish finally became a reality. All the time and hard work paid off when we all saw the look on Matthew’s face Friday night when he first laid eyes on the car. We were so proud to be able to work with the Make-a-Wish Foundation to help make this wish come true and we truly appreciate the opportunity to give back to our community and a great family like Matthew’s.

The third option is the V Sport model equipped with a 3.6-liter twin turbocharged engine with 420 horsepower and an 8-speed automatic transmission. We will announce pricing information and arrival dates as soon as they become available.
Bash for Nash is an annual event that was initiated when Tom and Angela Wicka discovered that their son, Nash, was a victim of DMD, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. DMD is a muscle degenerating disease that affects 1 in every 3,500 boys born. Life expectancy for those with the affliction is around 20 years. Tom and Angela have fought back over the past 9 years by creating The Nash Avery foundation. The foundation has spent 11 million dollars to help slow the growth of the disease and the organization has raised $3.6 million during their last four Bash events. More >

Morrie’s is proud to be able to support Camp Fire Minnesota, one of the nations longest running youth development organizations. Their mission is to build responsible, caring individuals and shape them into confident members of society. They help to provide youth with the opportunity to become valuable citizens of their community and world through educational programs and experiences in nature.
On November 8th 2012, Morrie’s was very grateful to be able to sponsor the organizations 5th Annual Wine Tasting Event at the American Swedish Institute. It was the perfect setting for such a special event and there was a fantastic turnout. Guests were able to enjoy wines from all over the world, a variety of different hors d’oeuvres, and browse through the silent auction. Youth camper, Ryan Keller also spoke to the guests about his experience with Camp Fire over the past 10 years. We truly value our ongoing partnership with Camp Fire Minnesota and were thrilled to be a part of such a successful event.
On Friday we had the pleasure of attending the 2012 Perspectives of Hope Gala. Throughout the past 10 years we have had on ongoing relationship with the Perspectives Agency and we look forward to a continued partnership.
Perspectives is an award-winning multi-program human services agency. They provide resources to hundreds of families and children and aim to break dysfunctional family cycles. These resources include education, career training, family counseling, and supportive housing. The Perspectives program helps to “strengthen families, restore dignity, and create hope.”
It was a beautiful event consisting of a silent and live auction, dinner, and even live entertainment from the children. The night began with a social hour where guests mingled, scanned and bid on the silent auction items, and enjoyed the harmonious sound of the harp player. Then guests filled the dining room for a gourmet meal. During dinner we received a warm welcome and introduction from David McNally, a longstanding Perspectives board member. Following dinner and the wonderful dessert, the live auction began. The excitement in the room escalated as the bidding was underway. One of the younger guests even got the chance to put her bid in. The silent and live auctions were both a great success in helping to raise money for Perspectives.
Linda Domholt of Perspectives said after the event, “A sincere thank you to our 15 corporate and individual sponsors, as well as the 240 people who attended the 2012 Perspectives of Hope Gala. It was once again a grand success as $166,000 was raised for Perspectives. This revenue will continue to support award winning programs that break the cycle of addiction, poverty and violence to hundreds of families each year.”
We look forward to our continued sponsorship with Perspectives and we were proud to be a part of such a beautiful and successful event.
