All summer long we have been experiencing heat waves, severe storms, droughts, and soon to be, that brisk fall weather. Many people complain about the varying temps and precipitation changes such as, too much rain or not enough rain. One thing people rarely think about how these wonderful climate changes mean so much to the people in the world that might be stuck indoors, unable to feel the hot sun on their face, or the pelting rain. We are thinking of the children with cancer, stuck in hospitals and homes, unable to participate in the seasons.
Morrie’s Chippewa Valley Mazda has partnered with Joshua’s Camp to organize their 2nd Annual Fundraiser. Joshua’s Camp is the realization and celebration of a wish Joshua Holm of Eau Claire, WI made before he lost his battle with cancer in 2008. He wanted to start a Camp for families who have a child being treated for cancer. Joshua knew all too well that a family going through the everyday ordeal of cancer treatment needs a place where everyone can just smile, laugh, have fun and remember what it’s like to really be a family again.” This year, our good friends at Country Fest have partnered with us to host the fundraiser at the Chippewa Valley Music Festival Grounds, in Cadott, WI. All proceeds go directly to Joshua’s Camp, which is run 100% on a volunteer basis. Please take the time and visit www.joshuascamp.org to learn more about this amazing organization, and see how our efforts here at Morrie’s Mazda are spent, helping this local group.
