The All New Mazda CX-3 | What We Know

The 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show is quickly approaching and the Morrie’s Automotive Group will be out in L.A. to bring you coverage of the all new Mazda CX-3 unveiling. We have put together some information on what we know so far about the all new crossover model.

First off this will be an all new model which will be just slightly smaller that the current CX-5 crossover SUV and a bit larger than the Mazda2 that it will share a platform with. We can expect a 2016 model year release date which should be available late June 2015. The CX-3 is expected to have Mazda’s SkyActiv technology engine which we can assume will be a 2.0 liter engine or larger depending on what Mazda sees fit. Other factors to consider that as a crossover vehicle the CX-3 will be offered in an AWD version to help you through the brutal Minnesota winters.

Styling will be kept in line with Mazda’s “KODO” design and will be the fifth vehicle in Mazda’s lineup to boast this new design styling. The CX-3 will be Mazda’s first attempt at breaking into the subcompact crossover market place and we can expect great things based on what information has been provided thus far.

Not many photos have surfaced with the exception of the teaser image that Mazda corporate has posted on their social media sites. Make sure to tune back in Nov. 18th – 20th when we will be bringing you all the coverage from the Los Angeles Auto Show.
