2015 Hyundai Genesis

Hyundai has called their design style, “Fluidic Sculpture” and now the new Genesis Sedan will be considered as “Fluidic Sculpture 2.0.” With a strong sloping deck-lid and chevron styled taillights the aggression and fluidity really come through. The U.S. Market can expect a serious brand-changer when the new Genesis Sedan hits the streets as soon as 2015. One of the biggest advancements Hyundai will be making on the new Genesis will be HTRAC system. This will allow the Genesis Sedan to now be available with an AWD system for the first time and can really shake things up in the cold weather states. With the less than perfect weather we have here in Minnesota this couldn’t have come soon enough from Hyundai.

Building a new model is expensive and with almost half a billon dollars invested in producing this next generation Genesis, Hyundai expects quite a bit of traction. Going head-to-head with the big German and other Asian manufactured luxury sedan’s the smaller Korean car company definitely has something to prove. According to Frank Ahrens the V.P. of Hyundai Motor Global Corporate Communications, “Every class-leading car should have industry-first features. (The) New Genesis is no exception.” The Genesis will have an anti-drowsiness feature which can monitor the CO2 levels in the cabin. If it rises above a pre-set level it will automatically open the vents and bring in fresh air to keep the driver alert. Nothing should be a higher priority than safety so the Genesis will also be getting a lane-keeping assist and a haptic response system (steering wheel vibrates as car drifts from it lane) to maximize safety for the driver.

Keeping Hyundai’s 5.0-liter Tau V8 engine, which has won Ward’s Best Engine three years in a row, matched with their HTRAC system, this Genesis is going to be an Abominable Snowman in the wintertime snow. Not to mention the overall day-to-day driving performance an AWD system can offer to any luxury sedan in the dry conditions. Interior photos and information about coloring haven’t been released just yet but judging from the past Genesis Sedan’s this should be the furthest thing from an issue. We here at Morrie’s 394 Hyundai are largely anticipating the Genesis Sedan to be a 2015 model release but please contact us with any more questions or concerns you have regarding this vehicle.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Cadillac Then & Now event last night and helped to make it a great success! We welcomed the 2014 CTS with hundreds of guests, vintage Cadillacs, a performance by Keri Noble and some great food from D’amico and Sons.

Around 6pm guests began to fill the show floor to see this years Motor Trend car of the year, the 2014 Cadillac CTS. Test drives were available throughout the night so that attendees could get a feel for what the CTS  has to offer. Vintage vehicles at the event included a 1904 Wagon, a 1949 Carrera Panamericana race car, 2 1949 Cadillac Sedanette’s, a 1958 El Dorado Biarritz and a 1941 60 series Fleetwood! Make sure to check out the photos below.

We had a few special guests in attendance including automotive Journalist and expert Ken Gross, who shared some of his extensive Cadillac knowledge with us as well as Cities 97 radio personality Keri Noble who set the tone with her entertaining performance.

Again we want to thank everyone in attendance for helping us to celebrate the arrival of the 2014 Cadillac CTS. Stop in today or give us a call to test drive this beautiful new addition to Cadillac’s lineup!
